Bone Grafting for Dental Implants — The Solid Foundation of Your Treatment
State-of-the-art bone regeneration techniques.
Safe, pain-free and professional – so your implants can last a lifetime.
A secure hold for dental implants requires sufficient quantity and quality of jawbone. If bone has receded through long-term tooth loss, infection or age-related changes, bone grafting (augmentation) is often the decisive prerequisite for successful implant treatment.
At the CompletDent dental clinic in Budapest, we use the latest biological techniques and premium bone graft materials to restore lost bone volume or reinforce it where needed. We regularly treat patients who have previously been told by a dentist that implants are no longer possible due to insufficient bone, or that their bone ‘can no longer be rebuilt’.
In precisely these cases, our long experience shows there are often still promising options. Thanks to the expertise of our implantologist Dr Szakal and modern augmentation techniques, even complex starting situations can frequently be treated successfully.
Where others see limits, we examine every case individually and with the utmost care — because in most cases there are more options, and more hope, than patients first believe.
When is bone grafting needed?
Not every patient needs bone grafting. We establish whether you do using high-precision 3D CBCT diagnostics . Typical cases include:
Our bone grafting techniques
Sinus lift
Specifically for the back of the upper jaw. The sinus membrane is carefully lifted and the resulting space filled with bone material. We distinguish between the internal sinus lift (a minor procedure directly through the implant site) and the external sinus lift (for larger bone deficits).
Bone spreading & bone splitting
If the jaw ridge is too narrow, it is carefully widened or split to create space for the implant and additional bone material.
Bone block grafting
For severe bone loss, a small bone block (usually from the back of the jaw) can be transplanted to the deficient site to restore volume.
Bone grafting materials
We use only certified, clinically proven materials:
Precision, not guesswork
Thanks to our 3D CBCT technology, we plan your bone graft on the computer. We
measure the existing volume to the millimetre and can determine the position of the
implants virtually in advance. This makes the surgical procedure shorter,
safer and considerably less stressful for you.
Bone grafting costs
Costs depend on the chosen technique and the amount of material
required. Here too, Budapest prices are significantly lower than in
Western Europe.
